So, many of you know I wrecked my Celica, Im saving it for a project car and really like the curren look.... what all does it take to do the conversion..... Any ideas as far as how hard it would be... and im planning on doing a RHD conversion also... I know it'll take a while, but im about to switch to a company sallary and im young and allreaddy have college paid for... ive looked into a 2jz swap and that is at the bottom of my list of maybes, with snapshots 1mz working that gives me alot of desire... can u boost it tho? I dont care if the mods take alot of knowhow, ill be taught how to and if i still cant ill try again, then if I fail to many times ill hire someone...

Whats yalls ideas?

And yes I know my title is in Spanglish and I spelt stuff wrong...

I'd like to see how you're gonna fit a 2jz motor in, seeing that it sits vertically in the engine bay rather than horizontal, also playr158 (Dan) is doin the RHD conversion so go find his thread.

If money fro you its not an issue, as you mentioned before.

v6 swap 5000 $
current front end 1500$

3sgte 5000 $

maybe 1.5 year span oh forgot

tylenol 200$ so you can then cure the many headaches..

there is not much else you can do. Its only a celica, anything else you do, its been done before by Toyota

Supra with horizontal engine

V8 its called tundra.

AWD in US some call it scooby..

Engine swapin, I cant help ya.

However, Try lookin for Ngofcukinway He' knows all about supras. I've seen em. biggrin.gif

I can help with body work; that's not an issue. Anything can be made to fit anything else. Just like midget sex. laugh.gif

Okay, maybe not JUST like that, but similar. Dont sweat that part; You buy alchol and i'll help ya fab up just about anything you need. Hell, If you wanna do something stoopid, we can just buy a few buckets of fiberglass and green-foam, and build a whole new f-ing car. biggrin.gif (~i've always wanted to do that~) And otherwise, i can find someone to help me with anything i personally cant fab up. biggrin.gif (Here in Houston; we know people foo') laugh.gif

So you dont let nobody sh!t on your parade, because they dont know what the Houston crew is capable of. wink.gif

Woot-Woot for me getting a garage this summer (lease is going to be up; and the wife is FINALLY getting a job); And back to glass work for me biggrin.gif

damn Texas really needs help with their education system laugh.gif this is just sad guys....type your posts in word then paste them over or something.

2jz swap = you are probably too poor (if you weren't you'd have bought a supra)

RHD swap = more work than its worth and it serves no benefit, I have done it & Madscientist has done it, requires LOTS of drilling, scrapping, maybe some cutting, welding, seam sealing. You'll have to rewire stuff cause none of yours will match up.

Curren swap = buy one (rought a grand or so) then you'll have to cut and drilll out the bars on both the clip and your car, making sure you don't bend anything that is needed, measure and line the thing up, weld it back together

Its far more efficient and cheaper to swap over a 3sgte, not to mention probably more than you'd need power wise and driving wise. If you want to get "rare" swap over a V6 + E153 tranny and you'll be just as good...attempt a SC install on it even.

yes we know what the Houston crew is capable of. Illiteracy and the inability to coherently provide information.

Again playr; i dont know where you come from, but I personally like meeting up with people. I like getting face to car to face. It's cool that you like doing your thing online; but our boy monkey here, seems to be fishing the waters for ideas; and it would seem that he's interested in alot of things. I'd like him to know that we've got his back; and would be happy to help him in whatever route he chooses.

Some of us are very well educated and choose to show it from time to time. Others of us are well educated and choose not to show it. And still others of us are not well educated and have no choice but to show it. However this is the internet - not English 101. We can choose to type our messages in any way that pleases us [just like you can choose to use it to show yourself to be a completely self righteous ass nearly all the time] wink.gif

Monkey - Forget the 2jz swap - that's just retarded and I'm afraid no longer as unique as it once was. Now if you really want to make something truly unique - Beams Red Top + Turbo swap. biggrin.gif
And I have the tools, parts and fabrication skills to help you do it. Just let me know.

Unfortunately not. I've only ever touched one once and it was in a clip I decided not to purchase. Big regrets there kindasad.gif

HAHAHAA dayum.. this houston crew rolls hard!
ya, well money isnt an object consitering im bilingual and almost a CPA so... thanks for all the info yall and if yall wanna help, i got a crazy idea...

bear with me on this as it may be just a lil fuggin crazy....

racing seats no big, but use the st207's AWD and All Wheel Steering with the 3sgte and 5sfe engine block setup, then it gets tricky... move the gastank to the leg area of the backseat and get 2 more racing seats for the back and cutem and fab em so theyre reclining and place em backwards... then since mine is a hatch i can cut the back bumper area off and putem on hunges and actuators and custom fab some steps into the inside plastics and then make it so u pop the trunk and like in a tahoe then open the lower bumper area and step in and sit, then close up and install subs between the seats.. maybe lil tvs in the back over the wheel wells at an angle.... im talkin some crazy **** thatll take me some time to do... like even if i dont do all of this, i may do some of it which is the point of this forum... ideas...... hmm lambo doors and ofcourse jdm tails..... but the whole rhd conversion is just because its diff... id like it... if i like it its worth the money for me.....
and for all yall who think that us in texas are remidial theres a lot you got to learn...

HAHA houston crew rolls HARD!!!!

*** EDITED INTO SPANISH THAT INTERNET CAN TRANSLATE***

im a waste? real mature bud. what you wrote is exactly what i wrote. i just dont beat around the bush and i said it in less than half the words. im sure he already knows about the 3s swap since 80% of the dreamers on this forum always talk about getting it done but never do.
