i have installed a 6 disc cd player in my car, i got it from my familys van and when it was removed from the van the company got lazy and just cut the power wire (battery, ignition and ground). i hooked the battery and ignition wires up to fuses temperarily. i was wondering where i can tap into to get a wire connected to the battery and a wire connected to the ignition so that when i turn the car off the cd player turns off as well.

if you have any ideas or know where i can tap into those wires ..... plz either pm me or respond here as to where the wires are located and colors (if known)

thanks

i would have said to go behind the radio if you were unsure on the wiring, but since you are in the bay already im sure you can find something there. unfortunately, i cannot advise which wires to tap. however, i would recommend you run an inline fuse with your constant to the changer. and even if someone gives you a wire to tap, id still check it with a probe or meter.

Just hook it up like you would an amp: Ign to the blue/white stripe wire from the aftermarket HU, 12v [+] constant to the battery via a fuse and [-] to a good unpainted metal object in the trunk [Hatch/Trunk latch work well.]
Hope this helps wink.gif
