Been looking for performance wires on the web for the 6th GEN Celica - and I can't seem to find anything decently priced anywhere.
And what size should I really look for (7mm, 8mm, etc) Also a question about spark plugs too - I've been told in the past that Platinum plugs are the worst type to get for ANY engine; but I know that everone has their own opinions about everything; post up what your recommendations are. My engine is the 5SGE. - thanks guys! This post has been edited by KAOS: Aug 18, 2008 - 3:54 PM -------------------- |

Performance wires? Since your talking size in mm im assuming that your talking spark plug wires. Check the NGK site out, pop in your info and select "sparkplug wires". Im sure you can find them cheaper somewhere else, but it'll give you a good idea of what your looking for.

NGK, Nology, or you could always go straight Toyota/Denso
Amazon has NGKs for about twenty bucks less than retail, I got mine that way and it's worked out great -------------------- |

Wow - amazon...? Really?
Not just books/CD's anymore eh? LoL. Umm... heres kind of a dumb question but I'm going for a certain "look" in the engine bay and if I can't find the color of wires I'm looking for; could I paint the wires? -------------------- |

First I assume you meant you have a 5S-FE as a 5S-GE would be a hybrid between 3S-GE and 5S-FE and I doubt that. Secondly you wanna stick with NGK cause they def work best for our car. Platinums are great [recommended] for our cars as that's what they ship with. Again NGK or OEM [It's the same anyway] or if you feel like spending some cash upgrade to the Iridium spark plugs from NGK.
