1. put it back in the box.

2. send it to me.

3. i will say thanks.... laugh.gif

1. Take out the center console.

2. disconect the shifter cables.

3. unbolt the original assembly.

and vice versa. Its very easy.

this is what you want to work with...

See the how-to's on the 6gc home page. I just put my shifter in yesterday following the instructions there and it was really pretty easy. Don't tell anyone, but I even did it at work. Pay special attention to the pitfalls and difficulties noted. I completed mine in about an hour and fifteen minutes and I'm about a fair-to-middlin' tinkerer.

Here's the link:
http://www.6gc.net/howto/install_trd_quickshifter
If you can't make it work using this how-to - pay someone. It's super easy. I did it in like 45mins on my lunch break at work too biggrin.gif
BTW - Did you get the spacers with the shifter? If not put your stuff back together and source the spacers first - they are necessary.
Hope this helps.

Yeah, this install is very easy. I've done it probably 5 or 6 times. I can get it done in ~10 minutes. It'll take you probably a good hour to get it all put back together on your first try.

It is helpful with the personal life. That anger at how time is spent intensifies with marriage, and then increases exponentially when the kids arrive. Plus, my co-workers are a bunch of guys who are just as adventurous with car repairs as I am, so if I get called away, whatever I'm doing might even get done without me! biggrin.gif

Well, I'm a firefighter and I'm there 24 hours at a time, so once the usual daily tasks are completed they are pretty lenient about how we spend our time. The downside, of course, is if I have to go I really have to go!

i did not use spacers, they raised my shifter too high. I used washers. Ghetto! but it worked, and cheap.

Point is tho you have to have something under there or the cables will bind on the end of the bracket.
Edit: just read the other thread - some aren't using spacers or washers at all but that thread is for the 7th gen shifter which is very different so IDK. Mine def looked like it would bind up without them.
