Is it hard to do? Is there a kit for it or you have to piece it together yourself? And will it work with manual trans? thanks

I had one on my 4th gen, but the only reason why I got it was because the ignition switch was bad and it wasn't sending current to the starter, so that was my cheaper way out of it.

what's the convinience ? I mean you have to put the key in and turn it, and then push a buttom ? that's adding steps to a simple process.

fun for some YES, I was talking about convinience. We all do stuff that doesn't make much sence to our cars, and as long as you like it that/s fine, but that was just my opinion., not a good one but that's mine.

i got one in my car and i like it better than turning the key. mine bypasses the neutral safety switch so i just got to put the key in and push the button. and it also helps with security. my buddies got ahold of my keys one day and tried to take my car for a joy ride but they didn't know how to start it laugh.gif laugh.gif

out of curiosity, do you guys intersect with the starter lines inside near the key hole, or under the hood?

I tryed to steal my car the other day, but the shaft off of the key hole is massively long...

Exactly why I have mine. I had a friend at work try to steal mine the other day and park it in the other parking lot to fcuk with me but he couldn't - he does this to me all the time. rolleyes.gif Seriously dude - the jokes getting old and nobody drives my car. Ever.
Guess I can kiss that goodbye when I get the TRD switch. kindasad.gif

when you pull the cowl down to reveal behind ignition and your looking at barrel you see the large white connector for the barrel itself its the thick red/white and black/white that where i connected i see what you mean now

Okay, so the ignition is in the massly long tube, and that's what your refering to: "Barrel"

And it can be unclipped and pulled out enough to get behind the key-ignition peice from the front? B/C i couldn't figure it out the other morning... I figured i'd have to crawl up by the petals and and decided not to because i couldn't make out the wire coloring.

no mate if you take the cowl under steering down the one surrounding fuse box at the side of long tube near th front you will see it alot easier if you want to do it i will photo for you to point it out biggrin.gif
