nope no need for mounting plates, the screws holding the speakers in, are tight as, only just managed to get them in the hole, might want to take the speaker housing in with you make sure they fit?

what I did for my front speakers was take the front speaker housing in with me, and the guy made me 2 mounting plates for both my front speakers, only costed me 10 and they were good quality

Hey, The back seats in my 96 SS-III have different mounts than yours, theres only 1 bolt to the floor in the middle, theres another bolt in the middle which u crossed out which has to come out to get the back rests off to get to some more bolts under the seats, and the little lock tab thing underneath the seats doesn't hold it in at all... I gave up for today, what should I do? Hey u coming up to Aucks? biggrin.gif

so where did you get up too? did you manage to get the back rests out?

I just baught literally the EXACT same speakers for my celica, for the front. How is the quality?

I still own my celica, but i'm parting it out and junking it.. Or selling as a whole. Have a honda prelude now :(

I did the same, I don't know how to get the panel off in a coupe lol.
