Generally no. I have a Pioneer deck that has Ipod control, and you can't use the Ipod while it is connected.

Maybe, my DVD player can do that from USB flash drive but we'd need to know what deck your talking about. -------------------- ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them. Nah - this function is controlled by the switch on the ebrake. Most people just loop the wires that go there anyway tho. -------------------- ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them. The question is, why would you want to? Is there such an urgent need to look at an image that it has to be done while you're driving? Sorry to sound like a safety nazi (which is really kind of funny when you consider that I'm German), but it just doesn't make sense to me to have this capability. Just my $.02.

It's not that he needs it... its that he can say that his car can do it. The same principle as rich people getting a sports car that can do 180mph where in america can you get to 180? Its that fact that you can say "Mine can, yours cant" And yes btw there is a company who makes an adapter to kick your ipod images to your touch screen. - Matt |

Good use of a parallel to explain it, too. -------------------- |

could always go ahead and built a custom linux based carpc
could prolly build one all parts included for under $800 (thats high end) then you can wirelessly send songs to your car, play movies from a hard drive, and wirelessly from say... your cell phone control stuff in your car through a relay setup. for bragging rights... i think that one takes the cake over some lil touch screen unit. "he guys, i forgot that in my car" ::hits a button on cell phone:: ))door opens(( ::friends gawk in awe:: "ok im good now" lol -------------------- you know why they put sheep at the edge of a cliff.... that way they push back!
