So bc I'm thinking of switching to another 6gc, lately I've been attempting to come up with a complete and total vision of my car.

Now don't get me wrong, i think even if you don't have a masterplan, your celi will look nicer than most other cars but what makes some 6gc's look great rather than good is I think vision, planning before you spend 1 dollar.

Making sure that you wheels match your overall style. That your spoiler and bodykit are complimentary, that you picked a color scheme & tastefully incorporate it in all you mods. For instance if you have blue neon underbody lights I'd think blue would be a major part of you cars overall color theme, but sometimes its the only blue thing on the whole car confused.gif

Now i know we will all never agree on whats good or not, but i think the majority can agree on a car thats great.

So do you have a masterplan?

doGGy, no doubt you had not only a plan, but a good plan. But how important do you think it is and what inspired it?

I had a master plan to keep my car teal and get bronze six spoke rims that look like Volk TE-37s and go with turquoise neon all around, but those plans changed when my car got keyed and I got it painted yellow. I now have a completely different master plan that's slowly being carried out. smile.gif I also try to use photoshop to see what my car's going to look like, but I'm no good at photoshop. wink.gif

My master plan was to get a 300zx next summer, but that changed a few days ago when I was backing my motorcycle out of my garage and I scratched a bunch of paint off my fender. Then I realized that a lot of the other paint from my $1200 paint job is coming off too. So, I'm gonna buy the Erebuni kit (the front lip and sideskirts at least), get a new paint job that isn't orange peeled like crazy, pick up some rims, and then see about a swap.

I don't know why, but I love my car more now than I ever did. It's like something hit me.

my master plan is to finish up my turbo setup with a nice FMIC and a couple other things that.

that is the first half,

the second half includes an imported 6GC GT4 sitting next to my car in the garage.

these cars have all the looks i want. i just want better handling and more power.

Erebuni 404 kit, bright red paint, with 2 (somewhat thin) black pin stripes going down, supra style wing, angel eyes, pure red tail lights, 3s-Gte, havn't deciced on the rims yet, and the cope de gras.... Lamborghini door kit.... and then of course you gotta have your system... two 12's with a X-plode pentagon 1,000w amp maybe?
I'll draw a pic of my dream celica and post it on this board

having a plan tends to save you money in the long run. so you aren't buying a 2.5" exhaust before dropping a 3sgte in for example. but like Coomer said, fate has a weird way of changing our best layed plans. so ultimately its best to be flexible and be willing to cut your losses if and when something happens.

for me, I've probably changed my overall plans about 20 times. thankfully I did my suspension mods first so I'm pretty set on those. now to paint and install the kit wink.gif

My plan goes in phases. I've done most all I'll do to my interior. Next is my suspension: I will have GR-2's and springs\coilovers dependiNG on how I make up my mind by this christmas. Maybe even a strut tower brace. We'll see what happens.

seeing as i dont have a 6g yet becasue of the stupid insurance company and the fact that my blazer is still in the shop, but i have my plan for the most part

6g hatchback
veilside kit or copy
18in chrome phx II
1.5 lowered
shaved every thing
some kind of dark orange paint
carbon fiber hood
lambo doors
and if all goes well ""targa top"" and what ever it takes to make it work
along with 4 12's several screens and along with best devised way of mounting it all so it dont get stolen like the last stuff i had , not like it was hard for them last time the it was onlocked and the hood was open , but in a shop on a lift
but maybe by spring i should be raedy for shows

So do you have a masterplan?

If you plan on any neon lights or a veilside kit (or anything loud), I'd put next on that same list to drive your car off a cliff.....but that's just me.

My "masterplan" is to have a fun DD, the Celica, for winter months and rainy days. A nice system for the rocky rolly music, nice alloy rims (nothing huge) with winter tires, the modest front lip and euro sideskirts, the supra wing (body looks insanely close to a supra) and thats about it.

Then between March-February out comes the 93 Rx7 street port to tear up Limerock, E-Town, etc etc.
