Alright well i want to use the AUX on my headunit to use my ipod. I've seen some really creative places to put ipods.. I think the cup holder idea is cool but i use my cup holders a lot so it wouldn't work for me. I have an ipod nano (the old generation) I'm just wondering where everyone else has put/mounted theres? Any ideas would be great. Thanks guys.

I have an ipod holder that goes in the cup holder, and have thought about modifying the base of it to fit inside my ash tray. That way it's removable and I don't have to hack up my car.

For the time being though, I have the aux cord and the power cord for my ipod situated in such a way that I can balance my iPod on top of the 12v plug in my cig lighter. (I have a silicon sleeve on my iPod too, that's how it doesn't slip.)

I put mine in the little space right next to the cigarette lighter.

I have the same ipod, and it's wired so that the jack comes out of my dash and faces up, then it holds my ipod at a perfectly; so that it appears to be in some kind of a holder... lol...

I had an empty open din underneath my radio, so i usually just put it in there, fit quite nicely. Also my ipod has a rubber cover so sometimes i would just lay it on my ashtray and it usually never moved around. later i bought the itrip and that just made it easier smile.gif

i just have mine wired into the glove box. i have a deck that can control it biggrin.gif and i have 2 ipods so i don't ever have to take it out wink.gif
i also ran a wire through the center console and it comes out of the ebrake boot then into the center console. i plan on getting a plug installed in the center console so i don't have the wires showing when they aren't in use but that's a project i'm just too lazy to start LOL.
you could always get one of those JDM vent cup holders then just run the wire through the vent. just a thought.

I've got the same setup. Get a deck that has full control of the Ipod so you dont' need to ever touch it. I plan on installing my ipod in the bottom din that's vacant although I think that it would require cutting kindasad.gif

Personally i like the cup holders idea biggrin.gif

If your deck does NOT have total ipod control then you will need to access it frequently, so next to the cig lighter or in the open Din under your cd player are good places.

If you Get a deck with total ipod control then you can put it anywhere!!!

Like...

Under your armrest on a little stand so it at the top of the storage area and not rolling around on the bottom.
Glove box... eh
With a nano i wonder if you can get it to fit next to the cig lighter standing up?? (someone with a nano go check)
Inside your ash tray next to the E-brake(maybe just remove the whole ash tray its self?)

Good luck!

The yelli celi has an Ipod jack in the arm rest. I ran my line out and my nano sat on the shift boot. Easily accessible and yet you never knew it was there.
