Well I went to see this last night - and it did exactly what I thought: sucked. IMO this was no Indy film, this was a Mummy film with Dr. Jones in it. Started out ok, then became to fantastic and ridiculous for me. I feel George Lucas honestly has no idea WTF he's doing these days. He butchered two of the greatest trilogies & someone needs to stop him. This was as heartbreaking as Spider-Man 3.

Mood after the movie: frown.gif mad.gif

It didn't really even look good in the trailers.
Way too much use of cgi even for normal locations turned me off.

CGI wasn't even the problem...I won't say anymore for spoiler reasons.

Kill GEORGE LUCAS.

thanks for the heads up guys, although I am going to admit, I sort of liked Spider-man 3. Sure the end went too fast and they didn't need to make it so quick and end with certain guys, but they ......... I dunno. For what they did I know they had their reasons and I did enjoy watching it.

Generally we have the same movie opinions. I have not seen it yet. But as heartrbreaking as SM3? That makes me cry inside.

i just saw it. i gotta say for the most part i liked it. but i'm with you on the story. the first 75% was pretty good but then it got too fantasy sci-fi for an "indy" movie. maybe if the last 20 mins were written differently, it would've been a better "indy" film. but then again, what do i know? i also liked spider-man 3.

This post has NO SPOILERS:

Saw it last night. I will say i was disappointed. We have to keep in mind though that Indy movies are always cheesy/corny and a bit over-the-top in all regards. I just think its hard for them to bring out a indy type movie (in this day and age) when its competing against big box office action hits like Iron man, batman, etc that do it right.

On a side note: I think all the hype hurt it. Like SP3, lots of hype was drilled up for it. I will say i'd watch SP3 any day of the week over this last Indy movie.

I think I liked Indiana Bones & the temple of Poon the best.

Then Indiana Bones, Raiders in the Dark
Indiana Bones and the Ass Crusade
Indiana Bones & the KingDOME of Skully

That serious was so much better. If you guys like stuff like that, then you should also look for Laurel Croft's Womb Raider.

Clearly, I am joking and made this crap up

LOL Actually at work, we did have Poon Raider. We have cool movie titles, like "The Young and the Breastless" or "Meatless in Seattle". OH man, how I dream of having such a job where I just come up with titles. I can do it 20 titles/min, seriously.

How can anybody like Spiderman3? His spidey sense completely dissappeared by then. Thats like making a superman movie where he doesnt fly or doesnt have super human strength.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

it was OK. i agree that it was a little too science fiction esque but still. it was entertaining.
no where near as good as the originals though i will say that much. i can't believe they are already talking about another with shia.

enough said. its lame. just watch the 1st 10 seconds and you'll see what i mean. he's supposed to sense those things comin but not once did his spidey sense kick in. and if you look closely...its NOT venom. major error
