Hey all, The girl ive been with for a few years now picked up a 97 celica gts from an X boss of mine, and now that she has had it for a year, and me doing the work on it and helpingher pick out some parts for it, We want to turbo it.
Me being a Nisdan guy with a S13 240, It's different from the old easy SR20 swap or RB and ca, etc.

Anyways my questions are,

-what kind of turbo parts from other celicas can we use ? ( 3sgte manifold )?
-Is it a tough job to do on the 97 gts, ( no air lot's of space )
-The car has 190k at low boost would it be ok to run a turbo set up?
-IS there anywhere that makes a decently priced complete turbo kit?

First check out the stickys under FORCED INDUCTION

Then:

After that, ask questions biggrin.gif

(again, i'm not being mean)

And to answer your questions directly:

Depends on what engine you have (Canadian GTS is 5sfe?)
No harder than the rest (except for the already turbo-charged GT-4)
Low boost should be okay, but look into a rebuild soon.
No Kit is avalible.

You're asking if you can run boost on a 190k mile motor. If you are a car guy you would know that a healthy motor isn't told by the mileage on it. Its told from a leak down test and a little on a compression test.

Talking about swapping in sr20's in a 240 being easy, the 3s swap is easy.
