last night i hit the duct for floor vents with my foot by accident and it came loose. i took it off today and was looking underneath the dash at all the parts ya know?

i saw a little black box close to the door with a red light and a white adjusting knob on it. says shcok sensor on it. (0-7). im pretty sure this car doesn't have an alarm on it. and i thought all airbag parts are signified as orange? (im hoping im not f'ing with Airbag things) i turned it up to 7(most sensitive)and when i tap it the light shines. i tried bumping it from the outside with the doors locked. nothing happened. also. i found a ON/OFF toggle switch near the same box. there is also a wire that runs to another red light near my hood realease.(outside of dash)

has anyone seen this "box" under their dash? this all just seems a little fishy. i don't like just "stumbling" across things i didn't know about.Someone enlighten me here. i apreciate it.

that is an aftermarket shock sensor.

Nothing else I can say about it because there are so many brands out there.

I'm sure that is part of an aftermarket alarm system that you dont know about.
