Okay, I've been so busy lately that I have not had a chance to finish up my Celica project. It is a red 1997 Celica GT with a 1993 2nd gen ST185 3sgte swap that has not been completed. The motor is in and mounted, the wiring harness was completed by DG Performance and re-done by Dr. Tweak (cost me $450 to have it done by DG, and then $700 more to have Dr. Tweak fix it........I wanted to make sure it was 100% plug and play so he had to trace every wire). It's very close to being fired up and tuned, but I gotta hook up 4 plugs behind the manifold and do a couple of checks before getting it to that point. Anyways, I just haven't found any time to do this with my new job and the car is at my friend's shop who wants it gone because he needs the space. I will have pictures up soon, but I am trying to see if anybody would be interested in buying it and finishing it up. I am located in Raleigh, NC.
Price: $5500 Vehicle Specs: -1997 GT -sunroof -power everything -interior is immaculate -body wise, there are some minor dings and the paint is pretty old, but a new paint job is all you need, there's no major damage or anything -5spd -TRD shift knob w/ red stitching shift boot -JDM 3-spoke Toyota steering wheel -C-One replica front bumper (unpainted) *I sold the stock bumper and fog lights to Tina on this forum* -stock side skirts (I have 404 side skirts too that I will include, it is unpainted) -rear 404 lip (unpainted) -Brand new in the box JDM tail lights -New timing belt and water pump, as well as new igniter and ignition wires -1993 2nd generation ST185 3sgte motor (from Jarco Inc.) -ACT clutch (brand new) -it has Scion TC wheels on it right now w/ 90% tread left on the tires (got it from my brother after he bought some Volks) -------------------- |

anyway you can get it up and running before someone comes and gets it? I wish I had the time to get it up and running, if I did, I would just keep it. But since I am working a lot of hours and it doesn't seem to ease up for a while, I would just rather sell the car. I am trying to save money for a down payment on a townhouse, so that extra bit of cash would help out a lot. On a side note, my friend Danny who I took wedding photos for is a mechanic at the shop that the car is located at (Phantasm Motorsports PHANTASM), we have a deal where he's suppose to get it running for me in return for me doing his wedding photos. Danny is mad backed up with work, but whoever buys the car, I am sure we can collaborate something to get it running. -------------------- |

Do you guys think the price is too high? I felt it was reasonable since I have way more money into it than $5500, but what price would you think is more reasonable?

I think the price is a huge bargain. The problem is that most people don't want to buy a car thats not running. Your best bet would be to finish up the swap and then try to sell it.

If you weren't on the east coast I would've bought this a month ago. And since its not running i can't drive it and shipping is way too high. |

I am located in Raleigh, NC....as well as the car. Hopefully I can get it running, if so, I might end up keeping it. We'll see though, with the price of gas.....I might try to sell it and get something more practical since I have the Lexus SC300 right now.
