Hi!
I have some grinding like so many other people seems to have.
Therefore i like to try the Pennzoil Synchromesh, but it is right now about 6-8 weeks delivery time.
How much do you guys pay for it in USA and how much do you think it would cost to ship it to Sweden (Europe) ???

If the price is right you might make a small amount of money out of it.
Going to replace all the transmission fluid so about 3liter, 3 qrt, will be enough. Might buy 4liter just incase but it depends on the price.

I have a manual transmission so is looking for:
Pennzoil Synchromesh Manual Transmission fluid

PM me asap! biggrin.gif

I'm willing to help out too if it's legal. Customs might not like it though, and is it considered hazardous material? IDK about getting it into Sweden but getting it out of the US might be difficult. Maybe it's easier out of Canada?

Depends on where you buy it - under $10/quart tho. i have 4 quarts at the house but I think you can't send petroleum based products through the mail. I was gonna help another European member a while back but then that came up.

If the tranny on the Celly is the same as the version on the MR2, you dont want a full case of this. Only a "blend" of a certain percentage.

Only way I would run a full case of it is knowing Id be replacing parts and I was trying to extend the life until I could afford it.

Finally just did my tranny today, after months of delay. Didn't use Pennzoil synchromesh but instead used Pennzoil synthetic....................that's what it said on the bottle. But my tranny feels great, I have a TWM short-shifter in my car so shifting into first and reverse gear is a bit difficult at times, and my 2nd gear would be hard to shift into and grind when i redline and sometimes not even pop into gear and have a grind in 3rd gear, and sometimes hard to shift into 5th gear.
At first i thought maybe i should change my syncros, but did the tranny fluid first and now all these issues are gone.

Death: tanx for the input, a little better price then here in sweden but the dollar is good for us right know smile.gif
Saw the other tread and have pm the other guy but he had to test it on the track before he know for shure, think he just made the oil change...

88celica: tanx anyway...as it looks right know i might try another oil instead, or wait for 6 weeks and hope the Pennzoil company gets the oil fast. The funny thing is that they said the it is some problem of getting hold of the oil, shouldn't be that hard if you ask me...but i don't know. smile.gif

mikeE: yeah...i could have tried that but it is tha same problem as the synchromech....we don't have pennzoil in every store. kindasad.gif
But tanks for the comment anyway, glad to se it worked out for you!

The viscosity and protection are not there. Its a very "thin" oil. There have been debates ad nasuem on mr2oc.com. The Mesh just masks the problem for a while and then it returns.

However, people have mixed it and had great results. Get the protection of a lube and then toss in the mesh to "slip it up".

ok, mix it with what (produkt name?, brand?) and how whould you mix it, 50/50?
Never heard of mixing before, in theory it sounds good, but you never know...
I don't know that much about different oils, just that it goes in the trany. smile.gif

can anyone elaborate more on this? Is it better to put only synthetic in or to make a mixture of synthetic and regular for our cars?

so i don't know what you're talking about with the "just masks the problem" thing
