Jeeps rock...but, find a cheap ass older one, and build it...don't buy a newer jeep...you want one w/ a nice V8 in it...built from the ground up...trust me, my friend had a 4cyl..and it's no fun, and the v6 isn't much better, best way to do some serious offroading (which is what jeeps are for) is to swap in the v8...

i know i already comment on this, but everyone gets the "jeep bug" at soemtime in their life. But do as john said and buy an old TJ. The only ppl who buy new jeeps are 17 year old girls who have their daddy buy them as a b-day present, make a REAL JEEP. And put some 33's on it

Don't buy a jeep, and if you do, DO NOT GET AN AUTO, for they are crap.
Instead of buying a jeep, get a 70's Ford Bronco, talk about an off-roader! Jon |

I wouldn't get a jeep if it were me, but I'm totally a car person. I just can't picture myself in a vehicle where I can't fly around turns and get as much attention as I do now.

Nope im not kidding. Latley I havent been as happy driving my car because, well, it gets old after a while. Yeah going fast is fun but all it does is waste gas. Also i really dont have the "jeep bug", i have actually liked jeeps for a long time and now i guess i want one. If i did get one i would probably get a 94 or 95 muanual 6. I know the 4s are crappy but ive heard good things about the 6.

my friend has a 99 (?) Wrangler the interior fit and finish is better in my 94 celi. honest to god. not to mention the car feeling like its going to tip over and the 6 cyl being relatively weak. but whatever floats your boat man. |

No man, jeeps are not fun.
My kidneys hate me everytime I ride in one of those things and they are dangerous on the freeways. Put a turbo on the celica to get a little more excitement that way. |

you think a celica wastes gas when going fast? a friend of mine got a 03 wrangler sport and gets a whopping 12mpg. something to consider. do what john said, you could buy an old jeep for about $2k already lifted with a nice setup and use it when ever you feel like it. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition

That's a really old picture... when that 4runner was sold...it had a front solid conversion, front/rear detroit lockers, geared front and rear, and was lifted 10 inches or so... 22RTE...mmmm.... although I woulda loved the 2LTE...=D |
