biggrin.gif Ok...I just bought some Motegi RT5's and I'm paranoid about keeping them perfect. I used some tire cleaner on my brand new Ventus tires and then the Motegi booklet said not to let the rims touch tire cleaner. So I sprayed the rims down and then washed my car. That is just my lame story.

QUESTION: What kind of things do you guys use to clean your rims?? What can damage rims or discolor them? Thanks! confused.gif

Brake dust is bad on rims. My friend has a white mitsu eclipse with white rims, and he left for the army, and when he came home his g/f had been driving it, and never cleaned the brake dust off, and it ate away the rim and looked nasty as hell. But that was after months. (thats about the only advice i can give)

I have one of those tubes of wheel wipes from black magic or something, and they work great for cleaning off my wheels. I first spray Eagle One Wet Tire Shine on an Eagle One Tire Swipe, and then I rub the shine into the tires. After that, I take the wheel wipes and use them to clean my rims. My rims still look like brand new when they're clean. smile.gif
