I'm having trouble finding the bolts to hook the 5s onto an engine stand. I'm trying to connect it where the bellhousing goes, but I can't get a set of bolts that will fit. I've tried M12 x 1.75 (Coarse) and M12 x 1.25 (Fine) but both don't work. Does anyone have the specs on these bolts? or for anyone who did this how did you support your engine?

Thanks,
Joe

No, for an engine that is not in the car but you want to work on it, so you put it on an engine stand... I'm asking how anyone mounted their, becuase I cannot find the right bolts to fit the transmission mounting holes.

I had a hard time finding some bolts too. I eventually found some though ... and they are very expensive ($6 for each bolt). They are 4.75" long and are deffinetly metric thread. I am not sure what the thread is exactly but i can find out when i drive past the place i got mine from. i will stop in and ask for ya. If you still cant find em after i find out the size for you, i can pick some up for you if need be.

I finally found the bolts I needed. For anyone who cares or will search this later, they are M12x1.25. If your going to get them I would recommend a minimum of grade 8.8.

The guy who said he was giving me fine threading gave me the uncommon M12x1.50 insted of M12x1.25 so be careful when you buy them.

Would M12x1.25 fit the 7a-fe also?
