Hello there, I hail from Co. Donegal, my name is Tony and I'm the proud owner of an SS-11 beams.

I bought it in feburary with just 46K kilometers (less than 30K miles). Its completly standard, bar aftermarket 17's. I have big plans but i'm taking my time.

Not sure how to put photos in my post, but i have some in my profile.

I look forward to contributing to your community.

Cheers.

PS. The beams engine is incredible.

Nice 1 smile.gif

I wish I had a beams engine in my three, just 1 year too old for it. Man that thing must go like a rocket, even the pre-beams 3s-ge is no slouch.

Now you just need super strut to compliment your fine young beams smile.gif

Awesome mate, enjoy!

1998 also had SS-I, SS-II and SS-III just like every other year, SS-II and SS-III always have the same latest 3S-GE engine available, SS-III gets super strut suspension whereas SS-I & SS-II don't. SS-I is powered by an economical 3S-FE engine. The only year they didn't have SS-III was the 1st year (93/94) and then it was called "super strut suspension equipped SS-II"

If it's a BLMZF then it's a Three,
If it's a BLMVF then it's a Two.
If it's a BLMVF with super strut suspension then its a very weird car and is equal in spec to a Three of the same year.

It's a Two. A three in 1998 would have a 2 post spoiler with extenders, front and rear splitters and a proper front grill, not a bar grill.

Both Two and Three had beams in 1998 just to stamp out the myth that Beams = SS-III and SS-III = Beams. Just like how my Three is pre-beams.
