Well, swap is almost done, but we've hit a wall. I'm also doing an auto to manual conversion, so the main problem is that the shifter cables are too short...about 6 inches too short to be exact. Toyota quoted me over $300 for the cables alone! I'm out of money and can't pay that. There are no 6th gen Celicas at any junk yards here. Any advice? Is there perhaps a car that has the same cables as the Celica? Any help at all is appreciated. Thanks!

try using the cables out of a 5th gen alltrac, you should be able to find them at a junk yard for cheap. Maybe try an online junkyard search

Sorry, I wasn't very specific. The problem is the 5th gen cables. I'm using the cables out of my ST185 front clip and they're too short. Don't know what I can do.

you are supposed to use the shifter cables from a 94-99 celica GT.
those are the only ones i can see that fit. My swap is basicly done, i just need to get all 4 motor mount BRACKETS from a celica GT. That's the only thing stopping me. here are some pics, but i will take better pics when it's completely done. OLD MOTOR NEW BEAST |

Very nice. Thanks for the tip, I'm just having a hard time finding them. My guy is going to use the 5th gen shifter if all we can't find a 6th gen one. These cables are hard to come by. As for the mounts, my mechanic rebuilt every mount that needed to be changed already. Alot of work, but he did a good job. Keep me updated...I'll do the same.
