hi , i just got my celica back after 4 years ,anyways when i had it back then i had it lowered with intrax springs( i think about 1.7-1.8 " drop) DIDNT REPLACE STRUTS SHOCKS, OR GET A CAMBER KIT !!!!
the problem was i was young and stupid and i didnt know i had to get an alignment after the spring install, idiot installer didnt even tell me. lets just say after 5 months i started going through tires like every 2 months , im thinking thats coz of no alignment after install ??????? is it??? ok i wanna drop it again w/ intrax springs have any of you guys had this problem EVEN AFTER getting an alignment w/ no cambers??????or is it just coz i got no alignment???? how often do you guyz change your tires with an alignment ? also the car has 84000 miles on it , i plan on driving it lightly and it was driven lightly before do i need to replace the shocks on it or will it hold up on me, also how do i know the shocks have gone bad,, will i hear a noise or something |

Normally you would only need a camber kit if you lower 2" or more or have coilovers.
So the cause of the problem is most likely the alignment. As for the shocks, with 84000+ miles, you probably wont here any noises but its advisable to change them if your lowering again. |
