Free bump! How's it all going? smile.gif

I just thought this deserved a place on this thread. I found it on my phone this arvo and couldn't remember you posting it. Eventually found it buried in a 'pic of my 6GC' thread... this deserves the limelight! biggrin.gif

Hey, I have been meaning to write up my report of lsd... and more photos. but life and doing other peoples photos gets in the way lol.

Cheers for the photo hunting.

Celica is still going strong. Recently I thought someone had tried to break in on the passengers door, as the door handle part moved, had a quick look at an exploded part diagram and saw that it had 2 bolts, before I ordered a new one I removed the door card and found the bolt in the door - came to remember I did hear a bolt drop. Screwed it back in all is good.

Haven't done engine painting yet (intake & valve cover). When doing the clutch work noticed a bit of oil coming through the pcv valve hose, so recently ordered a new one and a new valve too, as it was faulty. The other thing that bothered me was the black trim along the windows on the doors. Has started to lift up on the corners very slightly making it a bit sharp. Ordered some from Toyota- last pair in stock so got them under 1/2 price.

New window trim & valve & hose arrived a couple of days ago, installed the new trim yesterday. Install requires removing the door card, flicking the end slip/screw type thing. Push outwards then pull up, its a bit fiddly.

New trim looks alot nicer, and is softer.

Due next is oil change & valve cover work.

Did you get the trim directly from Toyota?

That's been on the 'to do' list for pretty much ever, didn't know if Toyota even had them in stock.

I asked about these in Toyota here in Spain and I was told that they were just over a hundred euros each. It seemed a bit expensive so I thought I might check the breakers and see if they have any in good condition as Celicas were popular here.

Still they look so nice and straight, I'd be tempted to buy them new but... so many other things have priority!
BTW those little blue clips cost 5 Euros each! EACH!!!!???!! rolleyes.gif

Definitely spendy, but seals (interior, engine or otherwise!) are so much better when they're fresh out the oven. Especially for 20 year old cars.
