hypothetical scenario:
your cruising on the highway in your freshly swapped beast of gt4 conversion. suspension is right. the interior is perfect. and the engine is just what you always dreamed about. along comes a punk civic and starts to mess with you. naturally you ran circles around him and went about your cruise. minutes later that same civic swings by to spite you. it veers in front and slams on the brakes. first instinct is clutch, brake, swerve, then horn. everything is good till the horn part. all of a sudden your badass gt4 releases the puniest squeak of rage that any car has ever emitted. the civic ricers off, laughing the whole way and you are left staring at the center of your steering wheel going wtf?... such is the truth of our stock horns. i've already experimented with some aftermarket horns but i cant find a good combination. someone told me that you have to get one high and one low for it to sound good. others say its bad to mix. does anyone have a working combination that they recommend? buying this stuff isnt an issue since working at advance lets me swap out as many as i like. perfect example would be: d low tone together with a b hightone or something like that. so far ive tried a d low tone with a stock horn as well as two d low tones together. id appreciate some input -------------------- i love how my wheel hopping, corner rolling, one wheel wonder celica looks XD |

Fantastic story. I imagined it like a F&F movie.
Anyway, I'm a fan of lower tones, at higher power. I gotta get with my cousin about this; as he had it on his old S10. Fcuking LOUD! and with the depth, it was sweet. But there is some kind of crazy wiring process involved with it, you have to take a line off the battery (or any other source), stabilize it, fuse it, capacitate it, and have it set to go thru a n/o relay that's triggered to your factory horn line. I'll call him up and ask him what note it was this weekend. but otherwise, Deep tone with extra Power FTW! I am going to put a small air compressor I had in my rock crawler with a small air tank and hook up a train horn! My buddy has one on his 4 runner it almost makes you fall to your knees it is so loud. No one will expect that sound from a Celica!

Wow they blew their side windows out!! Did they mount the horn inside!?! LOL Yeah, I wasn't there when it happened; But i did help replace the glass; and it was fcuked up This little dude "Josh" looked white as a ghost for hours, it scared him so bad that he looked like casper. it took about 3 hours for him to have a conversation with him. We all think he was exaggerating the hearing loss, but those door glasses were deff toast. The Horn was mounted in side the engine bay, with a cone coming out of the hood facing forward; towards the street. He called it the "Sonic-Cannon" Then it backfired This post has been edited by D-Man: Jul 3, 2008 - 11:46 AM -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! HAHA!! Thats funny. My friend had to mount his pointing out the front bumper and he made a "Sound Shield" to make sure the sound stayed forward. I think he scared himself and then he made the "Sound Shield" but who knows.
