So I finally realized that it was time for a change on the exterior of my car. I have done some minor work in the engine and interior but have yet to touch the outside. Anyway, keep checking back because this is just the beginning...

Ok so the first Mod I did was the clear turn signals and side markers. I also put some L.E.D.'s in the turn signals and plan to put them in the side markers (nobody seems to have them, will have to go to ebay. Its cheaper anyway...).

So here are the before and after pics, as you can see it made a HUGE difference. I got these for appx $50.00 after shipping.

Next on my list is tinted windows. I had a guy here in my town (Santa Maria, CA) do it for $120 out the door. I got 5% in the rear and 35% in the front. I must say, it looks pretty official!! No pics yet, don't worry ima add some tommorow.

This next Mod is one that i've planned since I got my car. I have just never had the time or money to actually do it. I know this is one ALOT of people do and probably want to do. I am just happy I finally had the opportunity to do it. Anyway, the Mod i'm referring to are the GT-Four riser blocks for the spoiler. One tricky thing here is that my car is a '96 so the stock spoiler is the one that connects in three spots. The one we need for the riser blocks I know came on a '94, not 100% but I think it also came on the '95? Anyway, I was at local junkyard and found a celi (almost cried when I saw her) that was completely torn apart. No motor, no interior. The wing had already been taken off of this one but fortunatley for me I found it lying in what was once the back seat. Lucky for me the car was black (like mine) so I could roll with the new spoiler and not look whack. The owner of the yard wanted $60 for the wing (scratches and all). I only had $40 on me and he would not take this. I offered him $40 plus my old wing, he took that. Total cost on the blocks + wing comes to $233.

Here are some before and after pics as well as some during the install. I will have some with the blocks on the car (too late now) later tomorrow. Keep in mind that I plan to mold them together so they are one piece and my friend is going to sand down and repaint the entire hatch and wing for me. So the pics you see now are only temporary.

No wing on the car

New 2 post spoiler (direct from the junkyard)

New wing on car

New wing on car, also notice the emblems are gone.

One of the new blocks

I also took all my emblems off the rear. I like it much better this way. You can see this from a couple of the pics above. As of right now there is still some residue left on the hatch not that noticable unless you are within 6 feet. But like I mentioned above, the whole hatch is soon to be painted (soon for me is like 2-4 months).

That's pretty much it for now. I am also planning on doing my brakes. I already purchased some OEM EBC brake pads, d/s rotors, and SS brake lines. I plan to take this on next weekend with my brother. I'll be sure to post some pics when it is complete.

If anyone has any suggestions for me as to how to make something look better or pretty much anything, please let me know.

I'm liking it. Now for the turn signals, will those fit the st model also or no? I found the side markers for the st but i wasn't to sure for the turn signals. They look about the same but i don't want to buy them and have them not fit.

looks good. i think you might've gotten a better deal on the spoiler from a member. but it'd have to be local otherwise shipping would cost more. but still not bad from a junkyard. the one near my place is way overpriced. anywho, the spoiler blocks always look good. post up pics when everything's done.

as for the turn signals... they will fit any st or gt as long as it has a 96-99 bumper.

I took some pics this morning of the block on the car. Also notice my 5th gen mirrors, this is a MOD i REALLY liked. I picked them up from the same junk yard. The guy wanted $40 total but I talked him down to $30 for both. They were originally blue and cracked. I had my friend (same one that is going to paint the hatch) do some work on them and he painted them with a 1 stage black. Looks pretty good...

Notice the first pic, above the center brake light. You can see my black primer spot. I can't wait for this to be gone...

OK guys, its finally done. I just installed my brake lines today. The rotors were done a while back ago but I am just now posting up a pic (haven't had the time).

I noticed somewhat of a difference using the SS lines. The pedal seems more stiff and less "spongie", also the brakes are more responsive. All in all, I'm pretty satisfied...

They are 5th gen mirrors. It requires a bit of modding (IIRC Drilling like one hole)
