Could I use a door shell from a car that doesnt have power windows?tnx

Just plug and play right? no other extra components except that it the door came from a car w/ manual windows.

yeah, you just wouldn't Plug in the Power Window's wiring. Just make sure it's taped off, even if it is in a harness. Just incase

The answer is yes, mostly. It'll be a slight PITA, but not too terrible and definitely do-able.
All the window stuff, power or manual, bolts in to the inside shell (not to be confused with the door panel). Actually, now that I think about it, the mechanism for the locks (power or manual) bolts onto the shell and the side panel (the part where the door latches). You'll need to swap out the door lock actuator from your car to the new shell. It's pretty easy to do though - there's 3 screws on the side panel, just above the latch, that bolt in the door lock stuff. I'll be completing my window conversion this weekend, so if you can hold off 'till Monday if you need pix, I should be posting up photos by then. --------------------  |
