I read the writeup posted on the how to section of the website, Im parting out my 87 Turbo supra ATM and planned on using my CT-26 out of it.... its single entry I know.
The rest of the parts I was confused on a little... Im only looking to get 145 to 150hp from my 7afe while still maintaining reliability if possible. I was wondering what manifold I use, where I can get the intercooler and IC piping from, so on and so forth. A list of parts is not part of the how to.. if it is, I never noticed it. TIA for the help guys BTW, names Phoenix, good friends with Alex (probably known as NgoFckingWay on here, he owns T-Spoon... Manny knows him) Thnx guys |

Can you use the ct-26 single entry? Yes, but you will need the turbo flange mated onto the turbo manifold to accept the turbo.
For the manifold I remember people using the B16/18 turbo manifold and cut the flange that goes on the head off and buy a flange for the 7afe head and weld it onto that. If you want it done right, go to JGSTOOLS.com and order a turbo manifold kit for the 7afe motor. It will make life a lot easier. But then again its pretty pricey. Can you make 150 whp? I believe you can, but then again I'm a 3sgte guy. Intercooler, the cheap ebay stuff will be fine. Its not like you are planning on boosting 20 psi. Just get an intercooler kit, that comes with the front mount and piping. You can even get ones with a BOV. The most important thing and I'm sure you already know, you will need something to tune the supra lime top injectors. the CT26 is gonna be pretty big for the 7a and with it being single entry it will be pretty laggy also..
for manifolds its either go with a log style or get a flange and modify a B16/18 to put on it. I opted to go with a smaller turbo such as an IHI RB5 and a log style manifold. I was hoping to get 180-200 from that but Ill never know since i decided to scrap the project and swap later on. Along with Niks thread in the stickies, Manny's thread is also very helpful too as many of the same things apply (minus the S series parts). I know there is a ton of information that can be had on the 7afte if you search long and hard for it all, it takes a while to piece together but its well worth it in the end. -------------------- -Brian

The CT series turbos do not have a good flow map for the 7a. You really need a T3. You can easily run 200hp on the 7a if you want.
The ebay honda turbo manifolds work but their welds are complete ****. You will need to change out the flange and have that welded on. I suggest also rewelding the support bar as well to make sure it holds up properly. -------------------- |

Alright, well Im also worried about the compression of the 7A, as is....whats a SAFE amount of boost for this thing? I absolutely do not want to sacrifice this engine for this project.

That depends on the turbo man. Boost is all subjective to turbo size.
Basically people are running 180-200hp without a single hiccup. -------------------- |
