I seem to have the worst of luck sometimes. Heres the story.

I was driving back to school weekend before last.(Belleville, IL to Indianapolis, IN) I was just cruising in 5th and all of a sudden, I hear a small pop and then the RPM's jump. Oh S*it, I just lost 5th gear. So, I put it in 4th, and I'm driving and I hear another pop and lose 4th gear. So I pull off the road. At this point I'm all pissed off and dont know what to do. I decide to try to make it to the next exit. So I make it to the next exit 2 miles down the highway driving in 3rd at like 50mph. I stopped and called my parents and get a tow truck out to pick me up. Had to pay $180 to have the car towed into Indy. So, I went on ebay and found a transmission for $75 bucks. Last weekend I was going to tow the car back to Illinois and fix it but couldnt find a way to get home so I could get the truck to tow my car with. So its been sitting by the school for 2 weeks now. Went out last night to start it, and apparently the road that it sitting on flooded over the weekend when it rained because there is about 6 inches of water in the car!! I dont know what to do now. Hopefully this weekend I can get it fixed because I'm losing money not being able to work as much. I'm going to pull all the carpet out and the seats, except for the drivers side and try to get everything dried out.

Well, thanks for reading, if anyone did. Just had to vent a little.

It'd be great if I could do some mods. But I'm a poor college student and am not able to afford anything. I also didnt mention in the first post that like 2 months ago my car got broken into and my stereo system stolen. I got really bad luck.

More bad luck for me. Last night, someone took it upon themselves to torch my car. So, no more Celica for me. Maybe I'll find another one someday.

I'm really ****ed in the new car department. I found out my dad only had liability on the celi and no comprehensive coverage. So, I dont get any money from insurance, and worse, I have like $200 to my name so I really cant afford a car right now. I don't know what I'm gonna do.

holy crap that sux man

people where i live dont steal anything hardly

i have a 97 eclipse with two JL Audio W7's in the back and if you look through the rear window down into the trunk area you can see them plain as day. there is no window tint or anything and no one has ever messed with the car.

i guess comparing a city of 100,000-150,000 to probably a million isnt equal.
