 Head Light, What is the light bulb code??? |

What is the low beam light bulb code for the 94 GTS or GT model. I placed a nokya 9006 12v 80w into my head assembly like in the winter time and one of the light bulbs blew. I took off the blown light bulb and found out that the socket that connects to the light bulb burned. The socket was melted. I assume the light bulb is to high since it was at 80W and the factory recommands 55w. Now my question is... is the light bulb code 9006 8v 55w or 9006 12v 55w?
Also I picked up new Piaa 9006 12v 55w is that okay? Do I need to change the socket that is burned and melted? It still works though but I may be worried that it may cause a fire since it was melted before? Should I worry? Also the dealer doesn't sell the socket so I'm out of luck to get a new one. |
