i belive they just welded it on to the stock pipe but i dont know how to put up pics on here

yeah, but its 2.5 inlet and i believe stock piping is 2in(correct me if i'm wrong) so i just wondered how they did that part...
I'm between taking mine down to the local muffler shop and having them fab up a completely new section from where the closest connection is(right above the suspension i think) so i could do a quick change out to stock for some random reason..
or just grabing a 2in to 2.5in 16ga stainless cone tube thingy and doing it myself from where i cut the muffler off. but who knows what i'll do, i'm still waiting for the money.
on that note, is our exhaust tubing, is it stainless steal or is it aluminum coated(not galvanized) i dont know what its actually called. thanks.

and as for uploading pictures... goto imageshack or photoshop, and upload pictures to them.. take the IMG code and just copy paste it into the post. if you need to know anything more, or need a better guide feel free to pm me!

Go to an exhaust shop, and get all new, bigger piping from the cat back. 2.5 or 2.25" is usually the norm.

Sorry, I just feel that it's half-assed when people get a muffler welded on to their stock exhaust piping. Not to mention you're not getting any performance gains from it, you're just doing it for the sound.

it kinda is, i agree tongue.gif! And you will see a little performance gain no matter what, cause a canister is less restrictive then the stock muffler... But it may only be like 1bhp.

Yea i gotta agree those sound pretty good, I might have to get me one too!

Oh and i think welding it to the stock piping is fine, if you free it up to much then you are loosing low end power anyways.

Were you able to remove the silencer? i just got mine today and cant figure it out. Also how did they stabalize the mufler? did they weld something on to it to hold it up?

There should be a screw (you need an allen wrench to take it off) that's near the tip of the muffler, un-do that bolt, then the silencer can be pulled right out.

usually they use a little circle clamp or two that wrap around the main canister and then they fab up a bracket thing to fix it to your stock mounts. i think...

Trust me, no one will want to use the silencer, because it sounds like utter crap with it in.

The only time it comes in handy is when you're driving around older family members. wink.gif
