Hi I was wondering if these are easy to fit yourself or will it involve huge specialist tuning garage bills to set them up with the ECU? Do they go under the dashboard or under the bonnet on a 94 gt? I have the chance to pick both up for quite cheap from a donor car.

Any advice or how-to guides most welcome as I have no specialist knowlege on these things

cheers in advance

The superchips ICON is possible to fit yourself, but i took it to one of the garages on the superchips website, they then programmed the chip specifically for my car, increasing the ignition timing further than the standard program. Cost £60 to have it fitted and tuned.

The ECU on the floor behind the dash, you can get at it through the dash/passenger footwell. I was going to fit it, but just didn't fancy it when i got to the ECU....

De-limiter, not sure.

£60 is pretty reasonable, electrics aren't my strong point and like you say, it will probably have to be re-programmed anyway

will have a look to see who's closest, thanks for that wink.gif
