Got myself my very first alarm and also for the first time in any car I've owned I now also have keyless entry, it's a special spiritual feeling walking away from the car, pressing the arm button and hearing that magic beep, makes me feel alittle like jesus.
I got myself this alarm from Rightclick (with minor adjustments) : http://www.rclick.co.uk/product_info.php?c...products_id=442 Far from top of the line but it works very well for me and my brother have the same in his car so we figured installation together with the excellent writeup I found on this board would be a breeze, which it actually was aside from the fact that the installation manual was babelfish translated and partly made no sense whatsoever and it contained factual errors on one important place that set us back a couple of hours so we had to go with trial and error method which ment we triggered the alarm several times to try stuff and we ended up having the cops called on us, a contributing reason they thought it was a breakin could have been that me and my brother simulated a breakin a couple of times (just shaking the car basically) to try the sensitivety of the shock sensor we might have gotten alittle carried away in our roles and yelled stuff etc... It has the brightest blue LED I've ever seen for an alarm indicator, we fitted it down by the cig lighter and in the dark it lights up my entire car with its blinky blinks, I love it. -------------------- ![]() |
