Sounds like we're on pretty similar footing 02bluerolla. I'm also 2nd Gen GT4 swapped on stock boost. TMIC vs FMIC should work out in the wash if we're both at 8psi - if anything you should have the advantage.

BTW - All this chatter is relevent to whether or not we should bother to hit the track during our meet.

Where do you live? Houston or DFW? I remember you said something about living there and breaking down here or something?
I think maybe I already know you?

Track would probably be cool. See what the 2JZ in Ken's car is capable of and hopefully my 1JZ. Maybe go out to Sealy or something since most of us live on the west side of town.

if we weren't having such bad overheating issues we would think about driving down & hanging out with ya'll.

my credit card # got stolen & a lot of fradulent charges got made - to the tune of $900 - so that has REALLY set me back on ordering parts for Vadar, including the most important which would be a new thermostat, water pump & a radiator frown.gif

and yes stock boost on a 2nd gen 3sgte is 8psi whether it came from an MR2 or a ST185.
one other thing to add, a JDM ECU has no bearing on the stock boost, it is also 8psi on a JDM motor.

we're running a JDM ECU which does have more aggressive fuel & timing maps than a US ecu, as well as a higher boost/fuel cut at approx. 15psi
there's lots of info on mr2oc.com regarding a jdm vs. usdm ecu.

sorry for going off topic - be sure & take tons of pics when ya'll do meet up smile.gif

If it had a big white graphic down the side it was definetly him. Matt and I are friends from way back and he'll be here soon since we envoked his name LOL.
This does sound like fun - the reason we said Baytown is because the south siders requested a meet on their side of town and they are the ones who started this thing so... [But yeah Seally does sound cool - Baytown is by far my least favorite track since it has the worst traction for FWD cars. I can only imagine how long this car is going to spin in the box there rolleyes.gif ]
Perhaps we should start a tentative rollcall to gauge interest:

When; Who knows?
Where: Who cares?
Rollcall:

Sweet! Matt, that's another one on our side of town thumbsup.gif that puts him between your work and my work. laugh.gif Witch are already 5 min apart biggrin.gif

We need to plan a mini meet on our side; i'd like to check out 2 3sgte's at once; It'd be like having 2 strippers at a small party thumbsup.gif

Maybe Snapshot will go to the track with us if we hit the Seally one? Perhaps we should have two meets then since the South side guys wanna have this one over there?

(litterly, the stock engine is going to loose vs the v6 swap and both 3s-gte's laugh.gif ) That'll be much more fun when i'm finaly 5sfte, then we could really have fun with it thumbsup.gif But in the mean time, you guys can all see who can beat the crap out of the stock GT the best laugh.gif
