 installing a new driver-side trunk release lever, how do i do it?? |

hey guys i juss got my trunk lever from dustin (thx man) n im not too sure on how to install it. Do i have to remove the seat first? if so how do i do it? sry if this was posted b4 but i couldnt find a diy for it.

Its simple however I had to remove the seat. Remove the side plastic scuff plate. Unscrew and remove the plastic cover around the lever, next unbolt the lever from the frame. Remove the seat I struggled for 15 minutes before discovering that the seat needed to be removed. Pull the lever out from behind (reach under the carpet) and once it is removed unhook the cables from the lever and attach to the new lever the cables are color coded (one is red). finally you reinsert the lever and replace the seat and cover. Make sure you don't break the wring that goes to the seat.
