So this weekend I tried tinting my tails, so I took the tails out, and put them back in, did this a couple times, didn't remove any bulbs or anything just took them out of the tails, well qhen I was doing this I eventually realized one of the lights was going out so I bought a new light for it and now my break lights won't work, on either side. . I only changed one bulb. . Size 1157. . When I turn on my headlights it looks as tho my tail lights are super bright like if the breaks were actuated but the center light on the hatch never lights up nor the break lights. . Idk what to do help please! I did accidently pinch one of the wires and broke it when I was screwing the tails back in but put the wires back together. . Idk what to do

Problem fixed.. Stupid fuses!!!
thanks for the help tho!

Check your connections on that wire you put back together. How'd you put it together? Did you use connectors or did you just twist the ends together? I'm sure it has something to do with that.

what is happening here is you have bridge the circuits, so when you turn the lights on, what you see is the brake lights on, I'm willing to bet that you installed the bulb the wrong way, just remove it and re-do it.

I tried both of those ideas and neither of them fixed the problem.... Any other ideas?? It's really impossible to install that light wrong there is only one way to do it.. I'm so confused on what is happening...

Yes they are in the correct holes, if they weren't it wouldn't stop them from lighting up correctly. . And it looked to me as tho its double contact. . I don't see any difference in the 2

Well I finally got to look at my tail lights at night time and they definitely look as tho they are as bright as when the breaks are on, only problem is the breaks aren't on and the middle light on the hatch doesn't light up. . Anymore ideas?

Try and disconnect the pinched wire and see if the brake light are still as bright. I think you might have overlook something, this circuit is pretty easy as it is just an open and close circuit. Not much could have gone wrong.

I'll give that a try thanks. I'm going to try a couple other things and tweak with it tomorrow thanks for the idea!
