ill tell u what happened after i get some info on what the problem is or how to fix it. Bascially my car hit the ride side curb and when it hit i thought my whole right side was ****ed but it was only the rims..... k after that my steering was totally different- when i turn left its normal but anything to do with turning right and i hear a badddddd rattle from my left side rim..... my friend checked and said its either the axle or the coilover hitting my rim.....and i shouldnt drive it..... im waiting tomorrow to see what my other friend says once we lift the car up but till then im worried.........=[ anyone know any info hit me up please! |

Compare Control arms and see if you bent it. Does it veer to one side at all? (it's happend to me before too, Dont be to hard on yourself. Just be more careful )

replace the lower control arm, ball joint, inner tie rod, and outer tie rod.
anyone of those could be damaged or are damaged. -------------------- |

well the last time i did that, was back when i was running cougars. But for that cougar it ran me 200ish for a rim (top of line sport class) and control arm. took about 2 hrs to change the arm. make sure you have a very strong friend to help; take your flinstone vitamins before you start too!!
the hardest part is forcing it into place. g/l -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW! Damn D-Man - most impressive. D-Man's post should be a sticky LOL, oh boy, you can always count on D-Man for ridiculously hilarious posts. |

and if you're going to do balljoint/inner and outer tierod on one side, you might as well do them on the other side too. This post has been edited by Bitter: Aug 13, 2008 - 7:55 PM -------------------- |

wow this is a real reason why i love the 6gc. i sure will miss u guys when i get rid of my celica
today the real mechanic came and looked at it... we raised it on jacks and took off the tire and put it in drive and reverse while it was up but no problem there until we put the tire back on and took off the jacks...... he said its def not the control arm but thinks is the transmission or differential axle....as their are 2 transmissions in the celica? either ways its still dead in my house and we are planning to get rid of the celica...as too many problems keep comming up with the car.... if i part it, i will def give u guys the parts cheaper lol i sure will miss the 6gc... it was my first car =[ |

i highly doubt you broke the trans without damaging the control arm, ball join, hub, wheel bearing, and or tierod assembly.
last i checked, 90% of 'real' mechanics dont make house calls on jackstands. get it AAA towed to a shop and have it looked at. -------------------- |

lol anyways heres the deal---i didnt tell my mechanic i bumped it on a curb and he thought the people who fixed my axle didnt put the fluids in some part so they towed it into my mechanics friends shop and they said they would put it in a rebuilt transmission for $900 CHEAP!!!! and fix it- while they were fixing it they said one of the axels were different from the other....... and said that the place i took it to didnt get the right axles for my car.......k **** this is weird now bc they dont know i bumped into a curve- i told them it just randomly started happening.....is this legit?
