I was wondering for anybody who has installed new indiglow-style gagues in place of the stock setup if they think that they are a worthwhile adition, and how difficult it was to install them. I am not overly fond of the stock greenish white setup and just wanted some input about the indiglows. thanks!

I had indiglos in my car, and I ended up not liking them after a couple months and taking them out. Now I just have red bulbs behind my gauges.

I also like the reverse better than the indiglow. ProCarparts.com has them for about 25 bucks.

I have indiglo guages but I don't care to much for them. I personally like stock guages better.

They have to be turned on and powered by 12 volts, and people usually wire them up to the headlight wiring so that when you turn on your headlights, they turn on. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

I got mine in the Jstanger group buy... they aren't NEARLY that blue!!!:( Does anybody know if I could get a new converter to make them a little bluer, they just need more power I guess.
Maybe I should run the positive straight from the battery, lol. Jon |

If anyone is looking for Indiglo or reverse indiglo gauges, any colour, any design, pick your own font, your own name across the dial or a choice of graphic go to
http://www.speedhut.com/el_dial_products.asp They are expensive, damn expensive, but if you want that personal touch this is your place. I had a lot of trouble finding gauges for my jap import car which had a max 180kmh, no mph marking and a rev counter that went to 9K. This site had the basics and would put mph for a charge. It's worth having a look!! |
