You all may or may not no about the history of the blue 3sgte that I bought...Well I now have the black 5sfte and my boyfriend Jim and his brother joey are working on re swapping the blue car with the st205...well instead they bought a wrc st205..The process has just started and its going very smoothly..presure2 and alltracman98 are standing by to help work on the car and help us out since they are the brains to the celica. Pics below with more to come as the process continues.
What do you all think? Ill be taking new pics very soon bc these were snapped quick the day we got the engine. This post has been edited by supershannon77: Jun 26, 2009 - 6:40 AM -------------------- |

Hey Art this is Jim, no the second gen 3sgte is running great no problems at all. I just HATEEEEEEEE standalones. I dont like how much they cost, I dont like the fact I cant tune it myself, or bring it around locally to someone, I hate how they dont always run the car well under extreme weather differences, I hate the fact that when you add a part after you have your standalone installed you have to pay another outrageous amount of money (up to 800 dollars!!!)to have it retuned. Dude, its just not for me and it never was. But on the same token I NEED (lol) more power than 275 whp. Dude, that gets old quick. I Love the fact that the third gen st205 comes with 540's. I dont have to have some fancy tunning to achienve 350whp. the car does it for me. Gotta love that. I love the fact the car will start and run 100% whether it is 0* out or 100* out. The car will run just as strong and reliable wehter i am ripping it at the track, or my mom takes it to pick up groceries. I want a nice, clean, fast, reliable, and easy driving car that can get into the 12's with ease, but doesnt mind cruising around town all day......the gen3 is where it is at for me. The WRC was just a perk.. I walked into that blind, I thought i was buying your run of the mill st205, and I was happy, it wasnt till later that I found out it was in fact a WRC while i was researching the st205 stuff. (Imagine my surprise i bought a clip of which only 2500 were made and didnt even know it, what are the chances) But again, the second gen is running great since MANNY (love that guy) hooked joey up, and fixed whatever BS was hacked into.

Your talking about traction with maybe 93 horses to the wheels on the factory gt bro. We will see how well your driving skills are with double the power on the factory tranny.

hey gt4solidier......Your doing a st205 swap on an s54 tranny non lsd and arent expecting traction issues lol....you are a good driver. Im just kinding, I have some trouble now with traction with the second gen and a ct20b with the non LSD e153 tranny (which has longer gears than your s54.....110mph in third gear ) So this is why I am upgrading to an LSD double . But if you are looking for better traction then you are going to currently have with your s54.......I just happen to have a complete E153 non-LSD tranny conversion laying around . ...... JIM

After a few hours after work everyday we finally got the motor out the clip today...We had to remove the engine from the bottom of the clip bc the all wheel drive trans is to big to pull it from the top. After taking the engine out we saw that the timing belt was just changed its brand new..the same with the water pump which is great...I have some new pics of the progress.
