Which procedures do you usually do on every tune up? Like oil change, transmission flush, radiator flush, replacing ignitor plugs and wires, replace valve gasket seals and ect. What brand do you usually use? How do you usually do it? Ever 3000 miles? Ever other oil change?
I was going to do a tune up next week so I decided to see what everyone else is doing to their cars. -------------------- |

Oil and oil filter change every 3,000-5,000 miles. Transmission fluid and filter change every 20,000-25,000 miles. Disclaimer here, if you don't know the history of your transmission DO NOT CHANGE THE FLUID AND FILTER! Over time when people neglect the transmission it starts to depend on the grime and grit for the gears to engage. Remove all of that and it starts slipping. Many rebuilds/replacements needed because new owner was trying to do the right thing, and it ruined the transmission. Radiator flush once a year. Plugs expect anywhere from 50,000-100,000 miles depending on material and brand. Wires should be good for 100,000 miles or more. Gaskets replace whenever you break their seal from removing parts, or when they start to leak. Brands are up to you. Usually what's the best deal or on sale is sufficient.
