Has any one had the JDM power folding mirrors and their angles are way off? My driver's side is at the furthest right and I can see most. My passenger's side is furthest left and I need it to go a little more.

Anyone know how to change the angle of the mount? or know they is happening when it was for this car in the first place? I did recieve the mount brackets when I purchased the mirrors, but did not use them since they were identicle.

Thanks

I swapped mine onto USDM mirror bases. they are at the correct angles but when you fold them in they dont fold in evenly on both sides (not a bad tradeoff IMO)

So, you're saying the OEM mirro bases can fit the motors that are in the JDMs?? Could you ellaborate on the "don't fold evenly on both sides"?

Also, if anyone knows what's the deal with JDM mirrors not properly angling for the car. They should be the same mounts, no??

If anyone has any other ideas, I would really appreciate it.

PS-I will be going to Japan in the winter and may pick up some SS-III & GT-4 parts...anybody know any place in Japan that has a good junk cars with abundance in Celicas?? smile.gif

the JDM mirrors are for right hand drive, your car is left hand drive. The housings are angled for this.

swap housings.

what i did was i put these little washers behind the screws of the white angle-adjuster part to give the proper angle. it's imo the best & simplest solution. if you use usdm LHD bases and if you close the mirrors, the passenger side will look like it's not closed properly.

here's the difference in angle btwn LHD and RHD mirrors.

no washers needed, all you need to do is shave a little bump in the mirror base, that is like a plug. and then it fits... its like a little sticking out...

hmmm - Looks like I need to pull mine back off and do some work to them. I too swapped my USDM housings on to the JDM guts so that I wouldn't have to repaint. I still need that damn relay or to make one of Batman's - it's just been really low priority so far.

hey, its more difficult, my relay has burnt 2 times. so im still in your boots. plus i think one of my mirror motors is misaligned. so it does not close properly.

I thought my boots felt funny this morning tongue.gif
How did you manage that? If you need any help or need pics of them the correct way LMK - I'll get em for you.
Sidenote: Anyone know what that special white glue is that they use on the mirrors? I had trouble with it dripping down into the housing after I changed everything out so I wiped it all off and used black silicone adhesive in it's place - bad move. Now my mirror shakes on every little blade of grass or tiny rock.

i opened up the toyota chaser relay that i got from ebay for 30 bucsk.

bloodystupidavey wrote some guides.. ill use that, i mean looking from inside i can pretty much tell who is ground and positive. then with my multimeter figure out if the others are same, if i burn it, well then, i cant use it anyways.
