1994 Toyota Celica GT Liftback
2.2L 4-cylinder engine (about 25-28 mpg)
5 Speed Manual transmission
163,XXX miles on chassis, 120K on engine
2nd Owner
A/C, Power steering, Power windows, Power door locks, Tilt wheel, Cruise control, AM/FM stereo, Cassette, Single compact disc, Dual front air bags, Sun roof, Alloy wheels, 6-speaker sound system
Passes smog with flying colors!

Asking $3,500 OBO for 6gc.net members

about $3000 in recent maintanence includes:
Replaced engine with a used engine about 1K miles ago, came out of another 94 GT from southern california, so it is the right engine for the car and is 100% legal. At the same time, the timing belt, water pump, serpentine belts, spark plugs, wires (NGK), distributor cap and rotor, passenger side CV axle, starter, driver side wheel bearing and tie rod end, several gaskets, harmonic balancer, thermostat, and a few coolant hoses were also replaced. It was about $1600 for all of that and I have receipts for most of that. I also replaced all 4 brakes and rotors about 5-6K ago (~$500), replaced all 4 shocks/struts about 2-3K ago(~$300), and the clutch and flywheel about 7-8K ago (~$600). Prices are parts only, I did all of the work myself but I have a college degree in automotive service and currently work in the automotive industry, so I'm not just your run-of-the-mill backyard mechanic.

The bad:
The factory CD player won't play or eject cd's. The radio and cassette player work fine. I can include a wiring harness for installing an aftermarket stereo with the car though if you want it. Also, the previous owner used to live in san francisco so there are several small dings, dents, and scratches, as well as oxidized paint on the hood. I replaced the rear hatch because the OEM one had some rust around the window (That was the only part of the car with any rust). I also replaced the front fenders because they had a few medium-sized dents in them and it was easier to replace than repair. I also sanded and primered the hood due to the oxidation that it had. I started to do the body work on this car to get it ready for a paint job but I bought another car instead. This car really only needs a very little bit of body work and a paint job to be great. It is in excellent mechanical condition, and the interior is in great shape.

The only aftermarket parts are:
Injen Intake system (CARB legal)
Tein S-tech lowering springs
KYB GR2 shocks (OEM replacement)
a few interior lights changed to blue
Cross drilled and slotted brake rotors w/ Hawk HPS pads
SPEC Stage 2 clutch and Fidanza lightweight flywheel
black with blue stitch shifter boot and center console cover
Shaved sidemarkers and removed emblems
Painted black OEM wheels

The best way to contact me is going to be by e-mail since I am away from my phone most of the day. Please let me know if you have any more questions about the car and I'll be happy to answer them. Thanks,
Nathan

Bump

price lowered to $3000 for 6gc.net members. I can have it painted and the dents in the driver's side quarter panel (2 medium-sized dents around the wheel well, been there since I bought the car) for $950, or $750 without the dents replaced. Hate to see this car go, but I need to pay off my new celica, plus it's hard to have 6 cars at a house with only a 2 car garage! 3 of which are mine...

EDIT: btw, if someone is interested but wants me to remove any modifications I'd gladly do it if you can provide the stock part. I have the stock springs but not anything else. Or if you want me to add anything else onto the car for you I can do this for you too if you bring the part. The cd player won't play cd's, but I'm including a wiring harness for an aftermarket stereo with the car, and I could install one for you if you want.
