So I think its time we get one good Portland area meet in before the rain starts up again.

When: Sept 21th. Meet around 11am-12pm? untill 3 or 4 pm?

Where: Meet in the Cascade Station(Ikea/Best Buy) parking lot, since it is really close to all the freeways, and food places for lunch. After lunch we would drive East up towards Corbett out to Crown Point(aka The Vista House) then take the old high way out to Multnomah Falls...

Its a very pretty drive with great locations for photo shoots. See the third page for pictures of where we would be going

Please feel free to add or subtract any ideas, or times and dates in regards to the meet. Just cause I posted this first doesn't mean my word is rule laugh.gif

EDIT: Changed the date to the 21st as the 13th wasnt working for anyone...

That's a little bit far for me for just a 3 or 4 hour meet.

^LOL!!!! It's fine for us down here if the meet is in Tacoma but now it's a little far, huh? LOL

I'd be down for the 13th. As long as lunch isn't at the Hooter's over by there. I'm so not down for stupid Hooters. Plus everything there is fried, and I'm not looking to find the twenty pounds I've lost since our last meet. tongue.gif

The Tacoma meet was a little longer than a few hours iirc...I mean I'm down for a meet in Portland so long as it's planned far enouph ahead of time and we can make a fair amount of the day out of it smile.gif

Fair enough! biggrin.gif

(I think the Taco meet was longer because the service was so damn slow at stupid Hooter's. But that waitress was cute at least.)

Well the tacoma meet took all day for me and griff cause cause we had to do 2.5 hours of driving each way, so dont worry regardless of how much time we spend doing the actually meet, it'll still be most of your saturday, if you do drive all the way down wink.gif

3-4 hours at least.

Meet up - 30 minutes
Lunch(at Red Robin?) - 1hr
Driving to Rocky Butte - 20 minutes *** optional
Photo shoot there - 20 minutes *** optional
Driving out to Crown Point - 45 minutes from Red Robin: 1hr from Rocky Butte***
Photo Shoot there - 20 minutes
Driving to the Multnomah Falls - 20 minutes
Photo Shoot there - 20 minutes
Hanging out at the falls, going up the path - X minutes

So if we dont go up to Rocky Butte, it'd probablly be about 3.5 hours or longer.
If we add Rocky Butte to the list it'd end up being right around 5 hours...

So that was just kinda a rough guestament of times, and locations... I am ok with having a longer meet, but i am not sure everyone else will be up for it Vert, but i totally get where you are coming from though.

Thoughts, concerns, questions?

no, I know people got lives outside of this community and all. Just saying, it's a 3 hr drive for me to Portland each way, so I want to make the best of it...btw, is it still happening the 13th, or is it going to be bumped a weekend or two. If it's the 13th, I'm already out.

ya i know what you mean man, i made the drive to tacoma as well...

Um... it could get bumped if the majority of people wanted to get it bumped for like the 27th... i am kinda leaving that up to the group.. but right now it looks like the group is three people frown.gif

Well the 13th isn't very far, so you can expect alot less people than if it were to be at a little later date. Whichever you all decide, I'll try to make it if I can (if it's moved).

I apparently can't read a calendar. I have my kids that weekend, the following
weekend you originally suggested works for me but only on sunday. I didn't realize
football was going to start and I don't miss my kids games ever.

Ouch that sucks, i had to do that with my old Stratus for awhile, U-pull it should have used radiators for like 60 bucks or something, but if you go that route make sure they compression check, like make them show you papers on it. OR just bite the bullet and go spend 300 bucks on a new one:/

So the weekend of the 20th would work for both of you?
Like i've said, i wanted this to be a discussion... i am getting that the 13th wont work for you two....

I am down for a meet on the 20th... Griff??

I am wintering the car shortly after.
