how hard is it to install a water pump and timing belt? i've never done any of these myself. i was looking at the engine bay and it looks very tight. i might have to go under the car for it. if anyone has any help or experience, please help me out here. im desperate to get this fix because i dont have enough cars in my family and i have school on monday. ill also search to see if there is anything out there...thanks ahead smile.gif

it isnt too bad. i didnt do the water pump but i did the timing belt. it took me about 3 1/2 hours to take it apart put the new one on and then put it back together... that being my first time and all

I just decided to have Toyota do mine and I paid about $400 for parts and labor, which really isn't that bad at all.

It's easy. Get yourself a manuel and just follow that. When I did mines a few months ago, it was easy.
