So we've been having problems with the car's shifting since day one, the e153 tranny with lsd....

At first i thought/blamed the 7th gen short throw shifter, because it was hard to get into gears and the cable kept breaking the lock pin and coming off the tranny....this happened twice when shifting from 2nd to 3rd......and now the tranny is stuck in Neutral.

Luis was driving it and when he shifted from 2nd to 3rd the car just reved, so the shifter is stuck in 3rd position but the tranny is acually in neutral!!!!!

so im guessing the its the selecting bellcrank, so i took off the upper shift cable (left the lower cable attatched) and BINGO, the shifter was now able to move. Moving the shifter side-to-side moves the lower cable/ selector, so its all down to the upper pivot shaft (IN A NUTSHELL, the side to side part of the bellcrank works, the Front to Back doesn't). Is there anyway to fix this????? I tried moving it with a crow bar and hammer but its jammed.....Here are some pics:

" The bellcrank, also known as Gear Selecting Lever No. 1, moves the shift arm in and out of the case. It attaches to a pivot shaft on a support bracket that bolts to the tranny case"-from a rebuild thread online....
