Hey had a dyno run and an interesting torque curve resulted.

there are a couple of points were the torque drops dramatically does anyone know why?

Here is the sheet, the drops are around 2000 to 3000 rpm and 5000 to 5500 rpm.

I was quite happy with the results considering it due for an oil change (only found out on wednesday we were able to do a cheap run and didnt have time to do an oil change)

let me hear your thoughts.

A 96 GT-T Caldina (turbo) only did 118kW at the wheels.
The top when we left was 150 kW at the wheels by a P10 turbo primera.

either a poorly calibrated dyno or you're getting knock and its retarding timing alot at those points. how are you tuned? what octane fuel are you using?

its not tuned, its just standard running 95.

i should of said its a st202 with a 3sge.

i compared my power curve with rustys and it was very similar shape.
The graph makes makes it look worse than i think it is because of the scale. going from 110 to 160Nm.

if it was knock wouldn't i get a warning light?
maybe it is poorly calibrated, but thats these guys do all day every day.
Cheers tho.

yea power looks the same between ours (mines higher by 4kw kindasad.gif)

but I would have though torque to be smoothier?
I have........finallly 20 minutes later
a dyno run from KoreanJoey from CelicaTech which has a torque reading (I think this ones it)

Yea. its hard to compare, those little dips are 5 foot pounds, ~7 Nm. It does drop in places. doesnt look as sudden but has it been smoothed??looking at the top right I reckon it has.
Our power curves look pretty similar.

I dont know what to make of it.

Also 4kW is bugger all really, could be that it needs an oil change or that its done 150kms.
