ok my 94 st celica is running like crap spits and sputters, almost like it is out of time. it also is giving me a code 31 . i know it is the vaccuum sensor (map) so i got a new one and put it in , still is giving me a code 31, do you all think it might be a ecm problem . i did not have any trouble with it untill i washed the motor , ran good all the way home ,but as soon as i turned into the drive way , i had a (cel) and it started to run very ruff. any ideas kindasad.gif

you probably got water into the connector, spray it out with starting fluid and make sure the vacuum line is well connected.

ok i tried that and still has a 31 code, also i should also let you all know that it has set in the garage for about 7 month now since i have had this problem as i dont want to hurt any thing and it is not my DD .

i think its dried out after 7 months :lol: so i doubt water is the problem anymore.


try replacing the sensor and the vacuum line that connects it to the engine.
