I have a quite large problem one of my valves is tapping im not low on oil and i just rebuilt it about 1k miles ago, about 3 days ago it had a slight tap when above 3k RPM checked the oil fine, then 2 days ago it started at 2k RPM checked oil fine, now it has a slight tap at idle, and the car is idling rough. When revving it up it gets louder and starts to have more of a grind then a tap. I removed the valve cover and checked the cams and valve jackets and there all fine, cranked the engine a couple of time couldn't see anything wrong, i have work here later so i dont have time to remove the cams so i thought someone might be able to help before i dig further.
Thanks

its gets louder with revs? did you just redo the head or the whole engine? cuz that might be something in the crankcase 0.o

Did you check the valve clearances? If it's getting worse it may not be that or you'd have noticed something obvious when you took off the valve cover.

The oil pump might be bad if it sounds like you're low on oil but the oil pan is full. It could also be a rod knock, maybe a loose rod or main bearing in the bottom end.

I understand everything is new since you said you recently rebuilt the motor but if something was overlooked when installed or installed incorrectly it doesn't matter if it's new or not, there could still be a problem or even be a defective part. Have you checked your oil pressure at all? When you had the valve cover off did you take your feeler gauge and check all the clearances between the shims and cam lobes? Did you take the oil pan off and make sure all the crank and main bearings were where they should be and everything is torqued "good"?

And I don't know what you mean by "oil clearance" but I said to check the valve clearances between the shim and cam lobes

checking oil clearance is when u use the plastigauge to check for proper oil space
and yes i checked my valve clearance and there in spec

Update:
IDK what its doing but ive been keeping it under 2k rpms and it gottin a little better but its still there and i still have power loss

If you don't want to take anyone's advise why ask for help?

No its not like that, I am taking the advice, but some of the ideas thrown out there (-batman valves are messed up)are not the problem.
So i think i found the problem, every day ive been using a feeler gauge on my cams and cyl.3 exhaust valve 2 is lower then before, so i believe its a valve spring.
(so i must apologize to Hurley, he thoughts where right, the problem just didnt show itself for a couple days)
