![]() The Plugs are in Order from Cylinder 1 to 4, the last one covered in Oil is Cylinder 4, Does that mean one of the seals for the spark plug tubes is leaking? |

When the tip of the plug is practically drowned in excess oil, this condition is known as wet fouling.
In an overhead valve engine, the oil may be entering the combustion chamber by flowing past worn valve guides or valve guide seals. Worn piston rings or valve seals may allow too much oil to leak into the combustion chamber, leading to oil fouling. |

leaky tube seal, replace the valve cover gasket as well (duh).
also, replace the plug wires, the one that was soaked in oil will be very spongy and at some point is going to start arcing out and cause a misfire. -------------------- |

It's hard to tell from the picture, but it would appear the No. 2 spark plug has carbon deposits or ash buildup.
It would help if we could see the actual tips, where all the work is done. Compare your plugs against the examples here: http://roadstarclinic.com/content/view/70/127/ to get an idea of what could be your specific problem. That said, from initial appearances I'd guess bad tube seals as well. |
