hi all. ive had my celica for about three years now and always enjoyed it, but only recently found this forum. anyways, i was hoping for a little help. when i got my car there were doo doo stains everywhere, paint fading and chipping, etc. but i did my best at cleaning it up with wax and rubbing compound and now it is my baby. anyways, my rear spoiler (94 stock gt) is really faded and chipped now but i saw on craigslist a guy selling his 95 celica(blown gasket) same color as mine. he wanted to sell the whole car but i asked if he would sell or trade the spoiler. he is offering it to me for $85. here is the link. it doesnt look stock.

http://honolulu.craigslist.org/oah/cto/846549756.html

1) is this a good deal?
2) does anyone know if the gt has 3 mounting locations vs the 2 mounts shown on the ad. ( there are 3 legs, but for all i know the middle one might just be double sided tape?
3) if there is 3, how would/can i plug the middle holes?
4) how much would stock, bumpers (front) cost, on average if he were willing to let them go?

thanks

94 -95 hatch had 2 post, 96-99 hatch had 3, ST and GT are the same spoiler,
they will not interchange without modifying the hatch itself.

thx for the welcome. i have a 94 coupe (3 mount), the celica on the ad is a 95 coupe st (but has a 2 mount).

will it fit mine and i just have to cover the mid holes? or are my mid mounts just for support and do not actually penetrate the trunk?
thanks again

if im right thats a 2 post spoiler for the coupe ivbe seen a few but never one in tha good of condition. u can tell its not a hatch modifyed to fit because of the light bar that the wing has. it reminds me of the honda civic wings and it looks pretty damn good if u ask me. i have a coupe and if i didnt have a trd one on right now id be all over that one. go for it and thats a fairly good price. u will have to fill your holes and prolly get the trunk repainted and have the back end faded in so it doesnt look like its from a different car. if nothign else i bet a few guys on here would jump on it since its a pretty rare wing from what ive been looking at. great find biggrin.gif

reall theres no way to do it with out painting. u can probly make a small patch pannel and silicone it on which will make it water tight. or u could just buy his whole trunk and swap him. and if u have a wing on there now u will scratch the hell outta it trying to remove it beleave me i did >_< for the best option trade him trunks or repaint. or have him sen me the trunk i really like that wing hahaha i could swap out on different days hehe

i believe the coupe's had a small variance in their spoiler which is different than the liftbacks. don't quote me tho.

Oh, for Pete's sake, just trade lids with the guy. What's all this nonsense about plugging holes and repainting?
