I already gawked at your interior hundreds of times cutrara. Props to you, though I think your only rival is a guy who took his interior to an upholstery shop. His seats are sick too. in fact, both of your interiors are what inspired me to do some research. I would love to have black all around, but my university doesnt allow me enough time to work. Instead i was hoping to do a really clean tan interior, with black accents on the seats. (on the bolsters maybe?). Ofcourse i want to see if anyone else did it in a hatchback before i commit. Going tan would save me the trouble of replacing the headliner, which just screams nightmare.
anyway, if anyone has a tan leather interior within a hatchback, please post some pics!!! -------------------- |

Headliner replacement is pretty easy from what I hear. I think someone on here did a write up about it.

That tan leather looks nice I think. I always thought our cars would look really great with a gray leather interior. My 4Runner had a gray leather interior (dark greenish/grayish exterior) and it looked really sharp IMO.

Here are some more, however they're all close ups. I thought that I had more pictures... guess I'll have to take some more this weekend :-P
Yeah, I agree. I think the tan looks AMAZING inside of my red '94 with black interior. Of course, I'm also biased that way though :-P. The black leather seats just make the car feel smaller and don't give it a personality in my opinion. -TC This post has been edited by razor7: Oct 9, 2008 - 12:24 AM -------------------- Live your life for yourself. its settled then, i'm going to get the tan leather. I hope the ebay covers turn out as good as yours look O.o. anyone have any ideas on applying leather to the door cards? Take off the panels, take out the multifiber board inside, and find where all of the leather/cloth is stapled down. Should be in sections. Take out each section, replace with leather, pull tight, re-staple in close to the same staple holes. Make sure that the leather is stretched TIGHT so that you don't get any nasty wrinkles. Take your time, this isn't an easy process, but it also isn't impossible. I was lucky enough to have stock leather, but I know from experience. When all is said and done, PLEASE post pictures, we all want to see your handy work :-D -TC -------------------- Live your life for yourself. Don't hold back for anything or anyone.

will do sir. my life is being consumed by consumed by university at the moment, and the celica is stored for the winter. I expect to get started on this project towards the end of the summer, after I upgrade my brakes, and suspension. Performance first!
tell me what you guys think of this idea: apple leather to all of my seats, then have black suede sowed onto the bolsters and other portions of the seats to break up their appearance? look at this picture http://www.autotreasures.net/Customer%20Pi...lica%20Seat.jpg okay, ur gonna need some imagination. Picture the seats are stock tan leather celica seats. now notice the placement of the red parts. imagine those were black suede stitched into the tan leather. sick or what? -------------------- |
