Ok, All cleaned up. I got the price quote from PowerAutoGlass of $245 + $55 (because it has rear defrosters) to replace the window. Not too bad, I'm still going to look around and see what my options are. I won't have time to be at home till next week anyways, so I have until Monday to schedule a time to get it done.
Oh and 808, haha, the soothing Hawaiian Kona coffee is some good stuff. The Chocolates were good too.. mmmm. When I find a more secure place to keep my Celicas, I will come visit and pick some up . I did the inventory check on everything inside the Celica and vacuumed everything up. It looks nicer than it did when I bought the car haha. The fun begins . Everything removed...how did I fit everything in there....tetris skills... oh yeah. Time to Vacuum.. Inventory checks out good . All valueables were moved to a safer location, away from potential theives. Celica is no longer an acceptable storage unit. -------------------- |

Yeah it makes me think a lot about it now. What happened to a simple Egging of cars? If they start using large rocks now, who knows what they will be throwing at cars in 5 years. -------------------- |

ok im leaving, ima come to the city and we are gonna find these haters..ill bring the 12 gauge... Haha thanks, but I don't know if that's going to solve much haha. I'm sure they will get what they deserve in the future. I don't need to worry too much about it. . damn bro, that's gay. it must be a sign... move back down to so cal. Haha, yeah, must be a sign. I have a few more things to accomplish before I can move back to SoCal. Hmmm but now that you mention it... There have been a few signs I should not be here.. Last year my Convertible Celica blew the water pump on the drive up here. I had never had a problem with the car before that. Then, when I moved up here, the hatchback ran out of gas when the gauge was still reading above a quarter tank, leaving me stranded with a dead cell phone on the side of the freeway. I've never ran out of gas before, and my cell phone being dead is a rare occasion. And now this act of Vandalism... Hmmm... -------------------- |

being 18 this is pretty easy to figure out. Teenagers were def driving around with that rock in the back of a truck just looking for sh!t to smash. That picture of your two celicas modded right next to eachother just screams out that you love them. As hard as it sounds teenagers look to destroy that loved stuff all the time. When me and my boys ride around town we always hate on the group of identical civics with fart cans that love there civics to death do them part. I dont think this much different besides the fact that they had that rock and were intending on facking someones shiz up.
Def not racial, no spray paint, not enough damage, not pre-meditated. If i was you i WOULD NOT make any indication that you were effected by the vandalism, if you put up a big fancy surveillance system with lights and cameras, whoever did this is going to see they accomplished their goal to hurt you and see the cameras and lights as a challenge for round 2. Brush your shoulders off and move on playa |

Brush your shoulders off and move on playa Well, there didn't seem to be a car/truck, and plus the rock thrown at my convertible Celica was thrown at the passenger side window, meaning the thrower had to have been standing on the sidewalk. Also, look at the placement of the rock in the hatchback. It was thrown from standing from the sidewalk as well. The rock is to the left of the large hole in the glass, meaning that the rock came from the right side of the car. Spray paint wouldn't have affected the car much, cause well.. the car is primer and ready for paint soo... hahaha. It's easy to remove paint from glass, and as long as they don't use clear coat on the paint haha, I could have just resprayed over it. . I don't think there should be this kind of hate in the world. The reason I choose to not worry about the vandals so much is not because I'm worried they will come back, because I already know I cannot avoid it even if they do. I can not control the actions of others, but I can control my own and how I react to their actions. Why should I let them choose how I feel? I feel great and they aren't going to change that. Anything can be taken as a challenge for them to do it again. Even by me not being bothered by it, can make them come back and try even harder to hurt me. There are always going to be haters, but I'm not going to be afraid to live my life because of them. I'm not afraid because I know I've done nothing wrong, and as long as I continue to live a good life, things will always turn out for the best . Sorry that all this happened mate, and you're a better person than I am. I would absolutely kill somebody, don't care who it is. They'd just have to go right then and there.
I don't get vandalism...your car, somebody's else's car on here had their rear quarter panels and gas cap damaged...I had my front fender dented...I mean, nowhere near as bad as your situtation, but it still makes me mad. |

I'm really sorry that happened to you too... it sounds to me like some random act of vandalism too. Maybe somebody just wanted to smash a big glass window because they could. I bet it was some dumb kids doing it on a dare.

i am astonished that you didnt loose it. im not sure if you would have been any different if it where your car, but if it where the exact situation where they JUST broke the glass and didnt steal anything, then i guess i would see no reason to be upset.

Well, I can think of many reasons to be upset. This week really isn't my week. Last night my laptop basically quit, so I lost all my files and pictures and basically all the information I had for the past few years. That laptop was a trooper though, it's been with me since I started traveling. It's ok though, because I just went and bought a new laptop and I'm really really happy with it because it's the first laptop I've ever purchased on my own. Maybe it's not the best out there, but to me, it's amazing .
I could be sad or upset about a lot of things, but I try to make the best out of the situation. Since I began traveling, it's made me see and understand more of the world around me. That's really why I don't get upset about a lot of things, because while I'm wasting time being upset, there's someone else out there who I could use my help. It does get hard sometimes to not get angry at people even if you know that you should be mad at them. But there is no point to try and hold a grudge because it will just make someone else hold a grudge on you, and the hating will never end. Basically, kids are going to be kids. And there are always going to be victims of their vandalism or pranks. It just so happens, I was the victim this time, and I really wouldn't wish it upon anyone else. I accept what happened and I will have to do my best to cover the cost and repair of it . -------------------- |

Hey Derrick, I just read this. I am sorry to hear about that man. Amazing how you can keep you cool, and I am sure whoever did it has something coming their way naturally. If it happened to me, I would beat the $#!T out of anyone who even looked at me funny who drove or walked by after that. I check on my car with little sleep. I never go anywhere that I cannot keep an eye on my car. That is partially because I haven't an alarm system yet. When I do, it better reach more than 100ft though.
I know it is silly to be obsessive over a car, but that car is everything to me. I would probably kill someone or at least cut their Achilles tendons so they may never walk again if I caught them messing with my car. I would do it for even just being in my yard near it if they have a rep for messing with people's cars. So that way I won't go to prison for murder. Knock on wood, people have hit my car with their door, but I was able to fix that no problem. To the mofo who damages my GT4 exterior or projector headlights though? Aye! Pobrecito! That's all I got to say. Anyways, I am sorry that happened to you man. Hope you win a scratcher or something so it isn't a big expense to you. I am sure working for Toyota has it's benefits though. Oh hey! I am going to school now and we do not (or I was told no longer) have the T20 program (unless it is different in locations, it is the program that is sponsored for new auto techs to get in with Toyota) due to loss of funding (just my friggin luck). Do you know how long it takes for a dealership to get back to you after applying with them? Ah, it is not important. I am really sorry that happened to you though man. You are a good guy. -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204

It's not really silly to be obsessed with a car...I am too, and it's plain as **** compared to what people have here. I can't imagine how much I would covet a GT-4 tuned/modded to my liking.
Of course, I would put an alarm on that. But Derrick, mad props to you for being so patient...I couldn't do it. Ever. I even went ballistic when some kid threw a shoe at my car in the school parking lot, didn't even cause any damage, but it was an unnecessary thing to do. People say "It's just a car, you can't kill someone over it" and they are right. But permanent damage seems fitting, considering how much I love my car. Re-occuring dreams of killing people for trying to break in my car. Seriously. I had a dream I left my car in a parking lot for a little bit and came out and it was stripped (actually this is the second dream) and I woke up wanting to cry. So yeah. -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204
