Hello!
As the topic may say, I am curious about a lightweight flywheel. Whats the difference between the original one, vs a lightweight one? Thanks, |

obvious reasons. The name itself. Lightweight ones are lighter. Have you ever picked up an OEM flywheel? They are heavy. Basically the lighter the flywheel the easier the wheel will spin. The easier the wheel spins, the faster the revs go up. Better response.

So im about to change my clutch to a stage 1 organic exedy clutch. So would i need to resurface my flywheel. My car has 111,000 miles on it. And are there any lightweight flywheels for the 1.8 engine??

yes when you get a clutch kit it tells you to get it resurfaced. Why wouldn't you want to? Its not worth ruining a clutch to save 50 bucks. I believe you can use a flywheel from a 4age. Not positive. Thats only if they don't make any for the 7afe your motor.
